Yantai Nanshan University and Universitas Sumatera Utara Successfully Held Symposium on International Exchanges
11月6日上午，印度尼西亚北苏门答腊大学校长穆里安托教授一行来访烟台南山学院，在东海校区顺利举行了两校国际交流座谈会。烟台南山学院校长杨万利、南山教育集团副总裁徐玉国、校长助理兼教务处处长唐立波、发展规划与学科建设处处长刘敏、健康学院院长薛雅卓、智能科学与工程学院院长王萍、科技与数据学院院长吕海洋、化学工程与技术学院副院长张倩、国际交流合作处副处长姜楠出席本次座谈。
On the morning of November 6, Professor Muryanto, Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, and his delegation visited Yantai Nanshan University (Donghai Campus), and successfully held a symposium on international exchanges between two universities. Yang Wanli, President of Yantai Nanshan University, Xu Yuguo, Vice President of Nanshan Education Group, Tang Libo, Assistant Vice President and Provost, Liu Min, Director of Development Planning and Discipline Construction, Xue Yazhuo, Dean of the College of Health, Wang Ping, Dean of the College of Intelligent Science and Engineering, Lv Haiyang, Dean of the College of Science, Technology and Data, Zhang Qian, Vice Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and Jiang Nan, Deputy Director of International attended symposium.
杨万利校长对北苏门答腊大学校方代表团的到来表示热烈的欢迎，随后介绍了学校办学历程、办学特色、硕士联合培养、学科专业设置、959建设布局、国际交流合作等情况，并表达了与北苏门答腊大学的合作意向。杨万利校长指出，近年来，烟台南山学院主动搭建中外教育文化友好交往的合作平台，积极开展对外人才培养、学术、科技和文化交流，目前已与全球几十所国外高校建立友校联系，开展海外游学访学、短期交换、学历提升、联合培养等项目。
President Yang Wanli expressed his warm welcome, and then introduced university's running history and characteristics, joint master's degree education, disciplines and specialties, 959 construction layout, international exchange and cooperation, expressing his intention to cooperate with Universitas Sumatera Utara. He further pointed out that in recent years, Yantai Nanshan University has taken the initiative to build a cooperation platform for friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign education and culture, and proactively carried out international talent cultivation, academic, scientific and technological and cultural exchanges. At present, the University has already established friendly relations with dozens of institutions worldwide, and conducted overseas study tours and visits, short-term exchanges, academic advancement, and joint cultivation programs.
随后，北苏门答腊大学校长穆里安托教授对杨万利校长的热情接待表示感谢，并系统地介绍了北苏门答腊大学的院系设置、学科专业特色、创新人才培养模式以及合作育人成果。他表示，北苏门答腊大学是经中国教育部认可的海外高校，其临床医学、口腔医学、土木工程、机械工程、食品科学等专业在印尼本国拥有绝对的实力，也与烟台南山学院优势学科设置相近。穆里安托教授明确了与烟台南山学院建立友好院校关系、进一步加强教育合作交流的意向，并期待烟台南山学院代表团访问北苏门答腊大学。
Afterwards, Professor Muryanto conveyed his gratitude to President Yang Wanli for his warm hospitality and systematically introduced the faculties and departments, the characteristics of academic disciplines and specialties, innovative talent cultivation mode and the achievements of cooperation in educating students of Universitas Sumatera Utara. He indicated that Universitas Sumatera Utara is approved by the Ministry of Education of China, and its specialties such as clinical medicine, stomatology, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, food science, etc. have strong presence in Indonesia, which are also similar to the advantageous disciplines of Yantai Nanshan University. Professor Muryanto clearly demonstrated his intention to establish a friendly relationship with Yantai Nanshan University，further improving the educational cooperation and exchange and looking forward to the visiting of Yantai Nanshan University delegation to the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
会中，双方就联合培养硕士研究生、师资互派、夏校访学、科研平台共建等项目进行深入的探索交流，杨万利校长提出了在机械、电子电气、自动化等工科领域共建科研合作平台/研究院、针对双方优势学科组建选聘专门化教师队伍的设想，得到了北苏门答腊大学的高度认同。
During the meeting, the two sides carried out in-depth exploratory exchanges on the joint cultivation of master's degree students, mutual deployment of faculty members, summer school visits, and the construction of scientific research platforms, etc. President Yang Wanli put forward the idea of building scientific research platforms/institutes in the fields of mechanical, electrical and electronic, automation and other engineering disciplines, and the formation of specialized faculty members regarding the advantageous disciplines of the two sides, which is highly acknowledged by the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
随后，穆里安托教授一行参观了东海、南山产业园区，对南山集团的办学实力给予了充分肯定，也希望未来能在印尼本土进行联合办学。
通过本次座谈，两校在师生互访、联合培养、夏校访学、科研平台共建等方面达成了诸多合作共识。在接下来的交流合作中，双方将继续发挥两校学科优势，积极为学生搭建平台，加深中印两国人民的友谊，在更多领域、更多方向、更多层次上拓展合作与交流，实现双方国际教育交流的突破与发展。
Subsequently, Professor Muryanto and his delegation visited Donghai and Nanshan industrial parks, giving full recognition to the capability of Nanshan Group in operating university, and also expecting to conduct joint education programs in Indonesia in the future.
Through this symposium, the two sides has reached a consensus on various aspects of cooperation, such as mutual visits of lecturers and students, joint cultivation programs, summer school, and joint construction of scientific research platforms. Moreover, both sides will continue to give full play to their disciplinary advantages, actively build a platform for students, deepen the friendship between the people of China and India, and expand cooperation and exchanges in a greater number of aspects to realize the breakthrough and development of the international educational communications.
